About WBN Mentorship Programme

Mentoring in business refers to a relationship between an experienced businessperson (the mentor) and a business owner or employee (the mentee). It can be used at all stages in the business lifecycle and offers benefits to both mentors and mentees.

Mentoring offers opportunities for personal development and a range of other benefits for both mentors and mentees.  It can help you develop your business through improved planning, performance and productivity. It can also broaden your business networks, which can help you identify new opportunities, ideas and innovative solutions for your business.

The WBN Mentorship Programme is a programme that pairs the mentors with the mentees based on their stage of business, needs and their business goals. Pairs meet via online once a week for 1 hour for a duration of six-months. Mentors may offer additional time, however this is up to their discretion.

Become a Mentee

The WBN MentorshipProgramme gives you the opportunity to build your professional connections in the business community by matching you with a mentor.

As a mentee, you can benefit from having a mentor if you are trying to get a new business off the ground or looking to grow a more established one. Your mentor can offer advice, support and guidance, which can help you improve your problem-solving skills and develop leadership skills. You can share ideas and problems with your mentor and they can act as a sounding board to help you make decisions with more confidence.

Become a Mentor

As part of the WBN Alumni community, we hope you will assist in making our mentorshipprogrammes a successful way for new and aspiringwomen entrepreneurs to startup their business.

Remember all the lessons you had to learn — sometimes the hard way? Now that you know what it takes to succeed and have established yourself in your field, why not share your knowledge and experience? The programme isn’t just a win for new and aspiringwomen entrepreneurs – mentors gain a great deal, too.

Your role as a mentor is to provide advice and support to your mentee during their startup period. You can also open your network of other contacts to your mentee when you feel comfortable with their ability.

As a mentor, you will gain insight while working with your mentee entering into business for the first time. You will make positive contributions to your mentee’s learning experience through sharing of your knowledge and experiences.By helping the mentees improve their business skills, you may also improve your own skills. You may be inspired with new ideas, meet new contacts and learn new business strategies from your mentees.

If you are interested to become a mentee, do complete the on-line application form.
